  Griggs Paint has been in existence since 1945 as a paint and coating supplier. In 1972 Domenick Commisso bought Griggs Paint and operated the facility at 16th street and Thomas Road in Phoenix, Arizona. In 1976, we moved to 3602 S. 16th Place, Phoenix with four employees including Dom and his nephew. Griggs Paint began manufacturing paints and coatings in 1978. It began with inexpensive steel primers, latex trade systems, and then branched out into epoxies, urethanes, industrial enamels, water-reducible coatings, and current "Low VOC" systems.  Griggs paint, with over thirty employees, supplies sophisticated aircraft coatings to Garrett Turbine Engine for use on military and commercial aircraft. Current customers include local municipalities, The State of Arizona, Maricopa County, General Services Administration, Talley Industries, Motorola, Honeywell and Arizona Dept. of Corrections. In February of 1994, Griggs Paint moved its offices and warehouse to 3635 S. 16th Street, Phoenix, Arizona 85040-1310.
